Breaking the Unwritten Language Barrier (BULB)

The BULB project aims at supporting the documentation of unwritten languages with the help of automatic speech and language processing, in particular automatic speech recognition (ASR) and machine translation (MT). We will address the documentation of three mostly unwritten African languages of the Bantu family (Basaa, Myene and Embosi).

Linguistic Training Workshop

On January 25th and 26th 2016, the first linguistic training workshop took place in Paris. Linguists from the project presented the linguistic properties of Bantu languages in general and Basaa, Embosi and Myene in particular to the technology experts from the project.
